Share your story, your r...You can do it, Roberta!

Share your story, your reasons for walking, and most especially, your passion for the cause.

People give to people, not causes. They will give because they respect *you* and what you are doing.

A few days or a week after you believe they've received the letter, leave a phone message or get them in person if possible. Make your letter memorable in some way - maybe on pink paper? Or some stickers - something you can tell them to look for when searching through their pile of mail. Be prepared to fax another copy of the letter.

There's a lot of guilt in a stamp! Enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope so they can send you their check. In short, make it as easy as you can for them to donate. Of course, always offer the website as a way to make the donation too.

Don't forget your insurance agent, dentist, hair salon - anyone that you support with your business should be asked for a donation.

And remember - you are not "asking for money", you are asking people to be a part of the solution to a problem that affects us all!

Best of luck!
NoraCarolina Catshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06730871980097538969noreply@blogger.com
