I received my 3-day "welcome" mail yesterday. It included a "bib" to hang in my office or to pin on my shirt while training to "get the conversation started." I'm not sure I'm comfortable with wearing it. I wear a 3-day shirt while training. It's funny ... I don't get many comments when I do. It's YOU, who read my blog, or read my Facebook page, or who see me every day, who "get it started!" I'm probably not great at fund raising!
There is an application for the Pink Ribbon Visa Signature card in the mail, too. Now THIS I might apply for! When I use the card I will raise awareness and show support. A $25 donation will be made to Komen after qualifying transactions. And ... there are POINTS ... and I can donate them to Komen and do even more to help fund the search for the cures!
There's also a card from New Balance (my shoe of choice New Balance hosts the official Training Program of the Komen 3-Day for the Cure. Yup! I'll be taking advantage of the 10% off my entire order. I need new size 8s!
So the mail was good yesterday.
Mail like this reminds me that I'M ON MY WAY TO ANOTHER 60 MILES!
You gotta love it!
Hmmm...I'm guessing you clicked on a formatting button you shouldn't have, but without seeing the source code it's kinda hard to tell. Or maybe Blogger felt you needed to emphasize things... ;)
ReplyDeletepssst... :::whispering::: in your sidebar, "your's truly" should be "yours truly." Just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteI checked the settings and couldn't find the problem. I was having some issues with the picture and must have done something. It disturbs me.
ReplyDeleteAs for the "yours truly" ... I don't know what i was thinking. I knew I was wrong ... But I added tne apostrophe anyway.
Duhr!
You are my editor!
Thanks Thumper!
Is it October yet?
